Terms of Service Prior to Scheduling Private or Open Boat Shared Fishing Charters

Our Cancellation Policy:

We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to be flexible. Because we reserve the boat and captain exclusively for your trip, the following policies apply:

For NJ Private Group Fishing Charters:

  • Cancellations made 3 days or more before the trip: Your deposit is refunded or can be applied to a future date.

  • Cancellations made within 3 days of the trip: The deposit is non‑refundable.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours or no‑shows: The full charter amount will be charged.

For Open‑Boat Shared (Per‑Person) Trips

  • Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the trip: Your payment is refunded or credited to a future trip.

  • Cancellations within 72 hours or no‑shows: Payment is non‑refundable.

Minimum Passenger Requirement (Open‑Boat Shared Trips)

  • Open‑boat trips require a minimum of 2 paid passengers to run.

  • If the trip does not meet the minimum:

  • You may reschedule

  • Or receive a full refund

Our Weather Policy:

Your safety is our top priority. All weather decisions are made by the captain based on real‑time conditions.

If the captain cancels due to unsafe weather:

  • You may reschedule

  • Or receive a full refund of all payments

Examples of unsafe conditions include:

  • High winds

  • Lightning

  • Rough seas

  • Small craft advisories

Light rain or scattered showers do NOT qualify for Weather Policy Cancellation.

  • Light rain doesn’t stop us, we still fish and usually fishing is usually pretty good

We fish in a wide range of conditions, and the weather often changes quickly on the water.

Our Mechanical Issue Policy:

We take great pride in maintaining our boat and equipment, but unexpected mechanical issues can happen. Your safety always comes first.

If we must cancel due to a mechanical problem.

  • You may reschedule your trip for any available date or

  • Receive a full refund of all payments made

If a mechanical issue occurs during the trip:

  • The captain will determine whether it is safe to continue

  • If the trip must end early, we will offer a partial refund or credit to a future trip, depending on how much of the trip was completed

  • No additional compensation is provided beyond a refund or rescheduled trip.

Late Arrivals:

  • Trips leave at the scheduled time.

  • Late arrivals may result in a shortened trip with no discount

  • or cancellation without refund if the delay impacts the day’s schedule.

Our Payment Policy:

  • A deposit or full payment is required to secure your booking.

  • Any remaining balance is due before leaving the dock.

  • We accept credit/debit cards and other electronic payment methods.

Captain’s Discretion:

The captain reserves the right to:

  • Change fishing locations

  • Modify the trip for safety or mechanical issues

  • End the trip early if conditions become unsafe          

These decisions are final and made with your safety in mind.

  • The captain reserves the right to cancel any trip due to inclement weather or mechanical issues that may come up, beyond our control, any deposits received for that Private Fishing Charter or Shared Open Boat Charters will be applied to a future fishing charter.

  • State of New Jersey requires all children under 12 years of age to wear a USCG-approved Type I, II or III Personal Flotation Device (PFD). Please contact us to let us know the child’s weight if you do not have a USCG approved lifejacket for the child.

  • State of New Jersey requires between November 1st and May 1st, each person on board such vessel is wearing a securely fastened United States Coast Guard-approved wearable personal flotation device of an appropriate size, while such vessel is underway. In short, a USCG approved life jacket is required to be worn at all times, outside of a cabin on a boat under 26 feet during the cold-water months, while in motion, from November 1st to May 1st.

Our General Policy:

  • Food: Each person should provide his or her own food and beverage. We suggest that you bring prepared food and crackers. No bananas allowed.

  • Alcoholic Beverages: Beer Only. No glass bottles, no hard liquor, and no wine. If a party member becomes intoxicated and unruly as determined by the captain, the boat will return to the dock without any refund.

  • No illegal drugs or firearms of any kind on board. Marijuana is illegal under federal law. (OFFENSES WILL BE REPORTED TO THE COAST GUARD).

  • Dress appropriately. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen lotion only please no spray, foul weather gear, and a change of clothes. Please wear fishing boots, boat shoes or waterproof sneakers, try to avoid black soled shoes on the boat as they could stain the flooring.
