Boat Policies and General Information Prior to Scheduling Charters
To Schedule your Private Fishing Charter or Shared Open Boat Fishing Charters please read information and policies listed below, then select which Fishing Charter you want to reserve
Four (4) Fishing Charter times to choose from; a 4-hour morning bay, inlet charter, a 4-hour afternoon bay, inlet charter, a 5-hour half day bay, inlet, inshore daily charter, or a full day 8-hour bay, inlet, inshore fishing charter. Typically, a full charter is 3 or 4 adults depending on the fishing season targeted. Targeted fishing seasons are as follows; maximum is (3) adult guests for Striped Bass Charters and (4) adult guests for Flounder Fishing Charters.
With a Private Fishing Charter, you have the boat exclusively for yourself or your own group. Up to (2) kids can be added for no extra fee, depending on the fishing season being targeted. Life jackets are required for all kids under the age of 12, see below for requirements.
Our Shared Open Boat Fishing Charters is designed for individuals for all skill levels to fish with other individuals they do not know. The cost for the shared open boat fishing charter trip is divided equally to the portion of the private fishing charter costs. These shared open boat charters allow you to sign on as an individual or just pay the remaining portion of the private charter fare rate. A minimum of 2 adult guests required for a Shared open boat fishing charter to run with a maximum of 3 or 4 adult guests per shared open boat fishing charter depending on fishing season targeted. Targeted fishing seasons are as follows; maximum is (3) adult guests for Striped Bass Charters and (4) adult guests for Flounder Fishing Charters. If there are remaining unused spots on the fishing charter, the remaining unpurchased spots will be divided equally to the portion of the private fishing charter costs. All fish kept during the Fishing Charter will be shared equally between each guest spot on that Fishing Charter.
On the Shared Open Boat Fishing Charters, individuals may purchase additional spots for themselves, if they choose to limit the number of passengers on that Shared Open Boat Fishing Charter. A minimum of 2 adult guests required for a Shared Open Boat Fishing Charter to run with a maximum of 3 or 4 adult guests per shared fishing charter depending on fishing season targeted. Targeted fishing seasons are as follows; maximum is 3 adult guests for Striped Bass Charters and 4 adult guests for Flounder Fishing Charters. If there are remaining unused spots on the fishing charter, the remaining unpurchased spots will be divided equally to the portion of the private fishing charter costs. All fish kept during the Fishing Charter will be shared equally between each guest spot on that Fishing Charter.
Two payment options are available to book for one of our Private Fishing Charters or Shared Open Boat Fishing Charters.
1st payment option is "Pay in Full" at the time of booking. This protects you, if the trip is cancelled for any reason; the payment for the fishing charter will be applied to your next trip and or your open boat spot.
2nd payment option is a "50% non-refundable deposit" at time of booking, with remaining balance due in full prior to leaving the dock.
Remaining balance for fishing charter or open boat spot, may be paid by cash or with credit card. If using credit card, a 3% surcharge will be applied to the balance of your trip.
Failure to pay remaining balance will result 50% deposit being completely forfeited and your fishing charter trip cancelled.
No show, no call, or no text on the day of your Scheduled Fishing Charter will result in immediate forfeiture of the 50% non-refundable deposit.
The captain reserves the right to cancel any trip due to inclement weather or mechanical issues that may come up, beyond our control, any deposits received for that Private Fishing Charter or Shared Open Boat Charters will be applied to a future fishing charter.
All Fishing Charter rates do not include the customary 20% tip for our Captains and Mates. They work extremely hard to make your trip a success.
State of New Jersey requires all children under 12 years of age to wear a USCG-approved Type I, II or III Personal Flotation Device (PFD). Please contact us to let us know the child’s weight if you do not have a USCG approved lifejacket for the child.
State of New Jersey requires between November 1st and May 1st, each person on board such vessel is wearing a securely fastened United States Coast Guard-approved wearable personal flotation device of an appropriate size, while such vessel is underway. In short, a USCG approved life jacket is required to be worn at all times, outside of a cabin on a boat under 26 feet during the cold-water months, while in motion, from November 1st to May 1st.
Food: Each person should provide his or her own food and beverage. We suggest that you bring prepared food and crackers. No bananas allowed.
Alcoholic Beverages: Beer Only. No glass bottles, no hard liquor, and no wine. If a party member becomes intoxicated and unruly as determined by the captain, the boat will return to the dock without any refund.
No illegal drugs or firearms of any kind on board. Marijuana is illegal under federal law. (OFFENSES WILL BE REPORTED TO THE COAST GUARD).
Dress appropriately. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, foul weather gear, and a change of clothes. Please wear fishing boots, boat shoes or waterproof sneakers on the boat.
